School Field Trip
We have been providing activities for school field trips for a number of years.
The first activity is a presentation that is given to the children on how a pumpkin starts from a seed and grows to a pumpkin. We explain what equipment is used to plant a pumpkin and what care is required to raise a good pumpkin.
Normally after the talk we take the children down to feed the animals at our petting zoo. We have a llama, donkey, four or five goats, two miniature horses, and a pot-bellied pig children can see.
We also provide a straw maze for younger children or a corn maze for older children.
Lastly, the children are taken on a roughly one mile hayride through a scenic woods to pick out a small pie pumpkin, which we help them cut off the vine.
In the yard of the farm we also provide a couple of cut outs the children can put their faces in for pictures. Along with the cut outs, there are normally a large straw creations the children can get pictures with.
If you have any questions or would like to book a field trip please call 330-482-4064 and ask for Joy to set up a date and time. The sooner you call the better chance you have of getting a desired date and time.
